Productronica 2025 was packed. Packed with people, packed with robots and packed with ideas that show where electronics manufacturing is heading. Our visit was not just a tour of shiny machines. It gave us clarity on how Vesla should position itself in a fast moving market.
Below is our short and honest recap.

1. Europe is pushing to stay central in electronics manufacturing
Despite the massive presence of Chinese suppliers, one thing stood out. European players are not stepping back. They are doubling down on:
Advanced automation
Reliability focused equipment
End to end production solutions
Localised service and support
You feel the strategic push to keep manufacturing capacity inside Europe. For Vesla, this reinforces one thing: quality and proximity still matter. Customers want someone close who understands their production reality and can support them fast.

2. Automation everywhere, in every corner of the EXPO
If Productronica 2023 hinted at more automation, 2025 made it impossible to ignore. Every hall showcased tools that reduce manual steps or eliminate them entirely.
We saw:
SMD feeders getting faster and smarter
AOI and SPI tools now driven by AI models that learn from real production
AOI systems scanning both sides of the PCB
Better video and imaging quality, improving detection accuracy
Heavy presence of THT assembly machines
Vacuum focused oven technologies to reduce voids and improve consistency
Full automation for niche tasks like stencil cleaning, brushing, cutting, programming chips, and even warehouse handling
The message is simple: If something can be automated, someone is building a machine to automate it.
For Vesla, this means our customers will keep moving toward integrated, automated lines. They will also need support in choosing the right tools and making these systems work together.
3. Quality, inspection and testing are becoming the heartbeat of the factory
An entire hall at Productronica was dedicated to:
Testing equipment
Fixtures
Measurement software
Inline and offline quality systems
European manufacturers are clearly investing here. The trend is not slowing down.
Vesla already works in this direction. The takeaway is that we need to keep our eyes on:
New AOI and SPI innovations
Better integration between testing and production
Process feedback loops that improve yield automatically
Quality is no longer a final step. It is becoming a continuous data stream that guides the entire factory.
How Vesla Positions Itself After Productronica
Based on what we saw, Vesla will focus on three strategic pillars:
1. Stay close to EU manufacturers
Local support, quick response times, and deep understanding of production lines give us an advantage. The market wants partners, not vendors.
2. Strengthen our automation expertise
Customers expect guidance across the full workflow. From feeders to AOI to warehouse robots. We can help them select, integrate, and optimize.
3. Double down on quality and testing
We already invest here. We will keep it as a core of our offering, because customers will rely more on data driven insights to improve yield and stability.
For Vesla, this sets a clear direction: Support customers locally, help them automate smartly, and keep strengthening our quality knowledge.
