VESLA EMS DFMÂ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
VESLA is a European DFM and EMS partner for electronics manufacturing. We support customers from concept to series production, including PCB assembly, component sourcing, production transfer, testing, R&D support and delivery of finished electronic products. Our work focuses on demanding sectors such as telecom, defense, transport, automotive, building technologies and energy.
Yes. VESLA supports projects from early prototypes and smaller batches to scaled serial production. Depending on the project, production can range from single board prototypes to series of hundreds of thousands of assemblies.
Early involvement allows us to apply Design for Manufacturing principles before production starts. We review design data, BOM and Gerber files, and look at panelization, component placement, edge clearances and testability. This helps reduce production risks, cost and lead time while improving yield and manufacturability.
VESLA offers both SMT and THT assembly for industrial electronics. Our SMT lines include JUKI equipment, screen printing, paste inspection, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens and 3D AOI inspection. For THT assembly, we use wave soldering, selective soldering and controlled manual soldering where needed.
Quality is built into the full production process. VESLA works with certified ISO standards, strict process control, defined inspection steps, traceability, AQL-based quality control, internal audits and KPI follow-up. Every SMT board also passes through 3D AOI inspection after placement.
Yes. We define the test strategy together with the customer during project transfer. Depending on the product, we can use manual test setups, semi-automated fixtures or fully automated test systems. Our capabilities include RF testing, high-voltage testing, dedicated testbenches and data logging for analysis and traceability.
Yes. VESLA offers R&D support across software, hardware, RF design, simulation, validation and testing. Our R&D team works with technologies such as C, C++, Python, Java, PHP, JavaScript, SQL and LabVIEW, and uses tools such as AWR Microwave Office and Altium Designer for design and simulation.
Yes. Besides PCB assembly, VESLA can assemble complete functional subsystems that combine PCBs, mechanical parts, wiring and cabling. Operators work with clear visual instructions, and every step is documented and registered in the shopfloor system.
VESLA’s production facility is located in Kladno, Czech Republic. The R&D office and registered seat are located in Pardubice, Czech Republic. This European setup allows VESLA to combine local manufacturing, engineering support and fast customer response.
VESLA combines European production, engineering support, flexible volumes and long-term manufacturing experience. We are not only focused on production output, but also on practical collaboration, manufacturability, testing, traceability and stable quality. Customer cases with companies such as Å koda Group and MTM Power show how VESLA supports demanding industrial and transport-related applications over the long term.
