Long-term cooperation built on practical collaboration
Since 2021, VESLA EMS has been providing manufacturing and engineering support to Škoda Digital, a member of Škoda Group. The cooperation started during early production phases and continues today in serial manufacturing. From the beginning, both teams focused on open communication and practical problem solving.

Projects differed in size and complexity. Some required larger production runs. Others involved smaller batches delivered according to specific timelines. VESLA EMS adjusted production planning to fit these needs.
“Our goal is not only to manufacture, but to understand what the customer is trying to achieve. When projects evolve, production has to evolve with them. That’s where long-term cooperation really creates value.” Ondrej Baier, Sales Manager, VESLA EMS
Engineering support beyond production
Engineering support formed an important part of the cooperation. During early production, VESLA EMS helped identify the root cause of connector pin deformation after moulding. The analysis helped define corrective steps and stabilize production.
In another case, the team detected mechanical collisions on PCB assemblies. Recommendations followed that helped improve manufacturability and reduce production risks.
When larger projects moved toward production launch, VESLA EMS provided direct feedback from manufacturing. The team also supported the preparation of production manuals. This helped establish stable processes early in the ramp-up phase.
“We value partners who actively contribute during production preparation, not only during serial delivery. The cooperation with VESLA EMS helped us address challenges early and move projects into production with greater confidence.” Ing. Jakub Ivan, Strategic Purchasing, Škoda Group

Traceability and process readiness
Traceability requirements formed another part of the cooperation. VESLA EMS designed DATA Matrix labels and produced a test series to verify marking and printing. This allowed both teams to confirm the process before full production started.
Growing together
As project requirements changed, VESLA EMS expanded its capabilities. For example, Vesla installed a new temperature chamber to support specific testing needs. This reflects a long-term approach. VESLA EMS grows together with its customers and adapts when new requirements appear.
The cooperation continues today. It shows how flexible European EMS manufacturing can support customers across development and production phases while maintaining quality, reliability, and close cooperation.
